As seen in the publication!
Rosie Phillips and Vicki Gates are two artists that are featured in the October issue of Charleston Fine Art Guide magazine. They bring a vibrant array of watercolors, pastels, oils and acrylics to the new space which is filled with new and fresh creativity.
Rosie Phillips is originally from Texas and is delighted to finally call Charleston home. She works from her home studio on Yonges Island where she is surrounded by the ever changing and beautiful lowcountry. Most of her paintings are inspired by her life, loves and pleasures so she almost always has a camera close by and why she says, “Painting is my passion and life is my inspiration!” Rosie continues to develop her personal style and paints both realistically and abstractly which depends on the inspiration and vision of that piece. She paints in oils, watercolors and acrylics creating landscapes, still life, pet portraits and loves to paint what she calls a “landscape still life”, a close up snippet of an outdoor scene. “Life is full of inspiration when you open your eyes to it!”
The gallery is open daily from 10 am – 6 pm and until 8 pm on Friday and Saturday and 12 -5 pm on Sunday. We are located just south of the market on the corner of Church and Market Streets at 175 Church St and love to say hello to the carriage ride guests as they go by!
