Farm House

Farm House
I started this painting with my friend James Pratt at Bacco Restaurant
here in Charleston last week. We had a group of us painting together and
enjoying a fabulous Italian lunch!
Unfortunately, I didn't have enough time to finish my Alla Prima
painting there so I brought it home and finished it in my studio.
Made a few changes and gave it a little pop.
A simple scene yet so warm and inviting.
Don't you think?

Morning Light

Morning Light
oil on canvas, 9 x 12

The light from the coastal sky is beautiful
mornings and evenings.
The colors range from reds, oranges, yellows, purples, pinks, blues....
Today, this morning.... the sunrise over the marsh and creek
is blazing and ready to wake up the world.
Good morning y'all!

Hanging Out With The Buoys

Hanging Out With The Buoys
12 x 12
palette knife oil on panel

Another coastal treasure. When I saw this boat buoys hanging off
a tree, I had to paint them. I did years ago, in watercolor, which you can visit on my website.
But I wanted to do them again! With oils in my palette knife technique.
A fun, vibrant painting!

Orange Geranium
Red Geraniums are beautiful to see in the summer BUT how often do you see
an orange blooms on one? Rare and beautiful. Just like this little gem!
