Spring Marsh and Spring Marsh Reflections. Fine art by Rosie Phillips

Two new paintings just released!

Spring Marsh
5 x 7
oil on linen panel

Spring Marsh Reflections
6 x 6
oil on linen panel

These two little gems were painted from one photograph.
Basically the same scene but a bit of a difference in
size and scope of the view.
They are typical of local low county marsh and creek scenes seen around the Carolinas.
The colors are of early summer with the rich greens and vibrant blue sky.
Both are framed in 3" Gold frames

Girl On The Beach (2)

Girl On The Beach (2)
Oil on linen panel
8 x 10
Framed in 3" gold frame

This is the second painting of Girl On The Beach.
The first one I did on a 5 x 7 panel
using a palette knife.
This one is on a linen panel and I used my brushes.
So the image is the same but the texture and finish have completely different looks.

Here is the other version.
Which do you like?
This one is also framed in a 3" gold frame though it's not shown.

ACE Basin Winter

Ace Basin Winter
oil on canvas

We live close to the ACE Basin Refuge
(click on the link for more info about the area)
where we go for walks year round.
We encounter great blue herons, egrets, ducks, alligators, snakes and wild boars.
Yes, we have encountered all of the above on our walks!
It is a beautiful place that changes color over our S Carolina seasons.
This day was a wintry day, gray blue sky, brown and gold marsh grasses and the birds were everywhere over the marsh and old rice fields.
Thankfully, we had a camera!
Ace Basin Winter
has made a trip to Colorado for it's new home!
SOLD!
